The location of this hotel is perfect, making it easy to explore the city. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast and friendly staff. the decorations of the lobby were really beautiful and created a comfortable atmosphere.
there was a musty smell in the front foyer which was not pleasant. the room was quite tired-looking which is unfortunate as we were expecting a romantic escape.

This hotel exceeded our expectations with its luxurious amenities and exceptional service. The indoor swimming pool and spa centre were highlights of our stay. The room offered exclusive advantages that made us feel pampered. The bar/lounge area was perfect for unwinding after a long day. Additionally, the hotel's location provided easy access to nearby restaurants and shopping.
Although our stay was nearly flawless, we did encounter one minor issue with the continental breakfast. While the selection was impressive, some of the items were not fresh and did not meet our expectations.

The Royce is fantastically positioned/situated in Melbourne. It's size, our room with a view over the war memorial & Eureka tower were superb. After a huge search of hotels in Melbourne's CBD, I felt this was the best selection for our criteria ie quiet location, view, ambience & position on St Kilda Rd & cost in comparison to some more expensive hotels.
The cost of $329 was a big outlay for our budget but we found the room comfortable, enjoyable & of an adequate size. Only downside would be the cooking smell in the hallway outside the lift from the Dish restaurant.

The styling of the room, the friendly staff, the little bonus of free drink but especially for the bar downstairs, the location suited my needs. In addition I was up-graded to 308 - a balcony room facing the college/school.
Nothing. Only that I had to leave.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean and well-equipped with a coffee machine and mini bar. The facilities were fantastic, and I particularly loved the breakfast at the restaurant. The location was ideal, right on a tram line and close to beautiful gardens. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable.
Nothing, all great.

Personalized service at Royce made our stay truly memorable. We were pleasantly surprised when we received a complimentary bottle of bubbly upon check-in as a gesture of apology for a room mix-up. The staff was quick to rectify the situation and ensured our second room was perfect. The hotel's location, just steps away from main tram lines, made exploring the city a breeze. The breakfast at the hotel was delicious, with a variety of dishes to choose from. The room itself was spacious, well-appointed, and had a stunning view of the city. Despite being near a construction site, we experienced no disruption or noise. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, convenient location, and comfortable accommodations.

Aside from my preference for a small hotel, I do not consider this a 5 star hotel. At most I will give it a 4! Even a bottle of mineral water in the room is charged at 6.50 Auz. The room rate is $300+ per day. Wifi is free for 1 hour and if they do not run out of coupons for the day! I would not go there again! There r better places around.

location
was not happy I was allocated an unrenovotated room 221 in the historical section of the hotel instead of the contemporary section. Had an expectation from your website the rooms advertised visually displayed contemporary styled designed room which influenced to proceed with the booking. There was no mention on your website that a section of the hotel was going under refurbishment. If i knew of this I would not have proceeded with the booking. It is important to maintain the intergrity of the product that is being advertised. The front desk staff did not highlight this my room was in the unrenovated section. Suggest to Royce management the 2 rooms in the historical section to be allocated at the last resort and to highlight the fact they are not to the standard of the other rooms in the new section.

For my Xmas stay, I appreciated the comfortable bed and the tidy, clean room at this hotel. The friendly staff was a highlight, making me feel welcomed. I enjoyed the good location, being close to key tourist attractions and public transport, which made my stay more convenient.
I must say my Xmas stay lacked the wow factor. , the hotel failed to provide a Christmas-themed atmosphere, and the lack of holiday decorations made for a lackluster experience.

The contemporary design. Like the two drink coupons as well :)
The towels are regular towels and not bath sheets. Also the towels are a little tired and old. Plush bath sheets would be the improvement to focus on.
